Ørland is a municipality in the county of Sør-Trøndelag, Norway. Major occupations are Ørland Main Airfield (of the Royal Norwegian Air Force), agriculture, public service, and commerce. Large industries are the Tine white cheese dairy and the Mascot Høie bedclothes factory.
Major attractions are the Ramsar Convention Bird Protection areas, the coastal areas themselves, and the Manor of Austrått, dated 1656 and with a known history from around 1000 AD.
