Album information
This was the album that made Spears a household name. The first single, the album's title track, peaked at #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles charts. Simultaneously, the album debuted at #1 on US Billboard 200 album chart, staying there for six weeks. Internationally, the single and album had similar success; "...Baby One More Time" peaked at #1 in several other countries around the world, including the UK, Canada and Australia, while the album peaked at #2 in the UK and Australia and #1 on the Canadian charts. The second single, "Sometimes", jumped straight into the top thirty in the US and top five in the UK and Australia. This was followed by "(You Drive Me) Crazy (The Stop Remix)", which became a top ten hit domestically, and top five hit in the UK, while the song went top twenty in both Canada and Australia. In 2000, Britney released two singles, "Born to Make You Happy" and "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart". "Born to Make You Happy" topped the UK charts and went top thiry in Canada in January 2000, while "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart" became a top twenty hit domestically and a top forty hit in Australia that February.
...Baby One More Time has been certified by the RIAA as 14x platinum in the US, and it is also the all-time best-selling album worldwide from a teenager.
