.mm is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Myanmar. It replaced .bu when the English name of the country was changed from Burma to Myanmar in 1989.
As of October 22, 2005, the nic.mm site did not appear to be accessible, at least when accessed from the United States. This could be because it is down, or because it is intentionally inaccessible to foreigners; Myanmar is known for its "Myanmar Wide Web", a firewalled intranet that is the only thing most citizens can access in place of the wide-open global Internet; foreign sites not specifically approved by the government are blocked from access. It is possible that there could be blockage in the opposite direction as well, preventing people outside their country from accessing some official Myanmar sites such as their domain registry. Only somebody within Myanmar can answer this for certain.
