Due to the absence of a recognized government in Somalia, the operations of this domain, officially delegated to a company with an address in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, have been suspended. The only active site is a one-page site at nic.so which says that the .so domain is "parked" and registrations are "unavailable" (as of "2/9/05", an ambiguous date format). Any past-registered addresses in .so are apparently nonfunctional, and no new registrations are being taken.
