00 (zeroty) or (double zero) is a numeral equivalent to the natural number 0.
It precedes 01 (zerotyone).

This form is used

• to focus attention on the last two digits of a bigger number or
• to align a single digit number (adding the leading zero) to two digit numbers. e.g.: in lists of files.

In other fields

• Zeroty refers to the first decade of each century:
  • AD 0,100,200,300,400,500,600,700,800,900,1000,1100,1200,1300,1400,1500,1600,1700,1800,1900,2000.

• 00 refers to Robert Parish

• 00 refers to a fine paintbrush

• 00 is a scale of model railway

• 00 refers to the toilet
