Aianteio or Aiantio or Eantio (Greek: Αιάντιον) older forms Aiantio, Aiandion, Eantion and Eandion is a large village in the southwestern part of Salamis Island and has about 5,000 people. The village in the medieval times and until the late-20th century was known as Moulki (Μούλκι). In this city there are some of the most beautiful beaches on the island. In the region, there are churches of the 12th and the 11th century such as Saint John and Saint Dimitrios. Two very good monuments for visiting is the church of Saint John the Calivitis, the most ancient church in the island which dates in the 9th century and it has remarkable hagiographies. The other monument is the monastery of Saint Nicolas which dates in the 18th century. It is situated in a lovely forest. It is an interesting monument for archeological observations. The name dates back to ancient times and is probably named after Ajax, from Homer's Illiad, "King of the Salamis."
