Aichach is a town in Germany, located in the Bundesland of Bavaria and situated just northeast of Augsburg. It is the capital of the district of Aichach-Friedberg. Aichach has 20,805 inhabitants. It isn't far from the motorway that connects Munich and Stuttgart. The local river is called Paar. Bavaria's only women's prison is established in Aichach since 1909.
History

In 1997, it celebrated 650 years of town status.
