Aid to Bible Understanding

From Freepedia

The Aid to Bible Understanding is a Bible and doctrinal encyclopedia of Jehovah's Witnesses, first published in 1969 by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania. The book was revised in 1971, and superseded in 1988 by the two-volume work Insight on the Scriptures.

Often called the "Aid book" by members, the work has 1696 pages and contains color maps on its end sheets and some black and white illustrations in with the text. The first volume, covering A-D and part of E, was released on July 9, 1969 at the "Peace on Earth" International Assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Members from over 90 countries contributed research for the encyclopedia.
