Ailinglaplap Atoll

Ailinglaplap Atoll is an atoll of 56 islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is a legislative district of the Marshall Islands. Its total land area is only 5.67 sq mi (15 km²), but it encloses a lagoon of 289.69 sq mi (750 km²).
The population of the islands of the atoll is 1,959 as of 1999. The current president of the Marshall Islands, Kessai Note was born in the Ailinglaplap Atoll.
