Biography
Vishal Devgan (born April 2, 1967, Bombay, India), popularly known as Ajay Devgan is a popular Indian actor who works in the Hindi film industry (Bollywood). He is originally from Punjab. His father is Veeru Devgan, an fight master.
Film Career
His debut film was a hit. He then went on to do films which required a lot of action. He did many of his stunts himself. His intense look and persona made him a favourite with the audience. The trend of action films was soon broken when he did the film Ishq. He also met his future wife Kajol on the sets of Ishq.
This was followed by critically acclaimed hits in Zakhm and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. He was awarded the National Award for his role in Zakhm. Ajay gave hit after hit and he established his credability as an actor. He gave another critically acclaimed hit with The Legend of Bhagat Singh. His brilliant performance got him his second National Award.
His association with Ram Gopal Verma resulted in box office successes, notably Company and Bhoot.
Of his recent films he had a critically acclaimed performance with Main Aisa Hi Hoon and a hit with Kaal.
Personal Life
He previously dated Karisma Kapoor. He married his long time girlfriend, Kajol on February 24, 1999. He has a daughter called Nysa.
