Alfréd Haar

Alfréd Haar (October 11, 1885 - March 16, 1933) was a Hungarian mathematician. The Haar measure and the Haar wavelet are named in his honor. Together with Frigyes Riesz he made the the University of Szeged a centre of mathematics.
