Allawah, New South Wales

Allawah is a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.It is located in the federal government seat of Barton, and the Kogarah Municipality.

Allawah is a rather small suburb, landlocked between numerous other suburbs. The main attraction of Allawah is the Railway Parade shopping strip, which contains a newsagent, post office, corner store, real estate agent, an Italian restaurant called 'Little Italy', and of course the local watering hole and bottle shop, The Allawah Hotel.

Allawah's one other main attraction is its railway station, which recently received a $4m dollar upgrade and led to the installation of a series of lifts to benefit the mobily challenged. Trains stop at Allawah three times an hour during peak times, and twice an hour at all other times.

Allawah is about 15-20 minutes walking distance from Hurstville.

Nearby suburbs include: Hurstville, Carlton, Blakehurst, South Hurstville, Kogarah and Ramsgate.
