Later, US Airways revived the Allegheny name for one of its wholly owned commuter operators. It flew under the trade name "US Airways Express," maintaining the Allegheny name officially in order to keep the trademark under US Airways' control. The airline was headquartered in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and flew primarily De Havilland Canada Dash 8 turboprop aircraft serving 35 destinations in north-eastern USA, and eventually Canada, from hubs at Boston and Philadelphia. Its activities and Dash 8 fleet were incorporated into Piedmont Airlines in 2004 to consolidate operations.
