Amblycipitidae is a family of the Siluriformes order, commonly called Loach Catfishes.
Members of this family feature a long cigar or loach-like body with four barbels positioned in a similar fashion to those found in loaches. These four thick and long nasal barbels are reminiscent of North American Catfishes.
These kind of fishes can be found in Southern Asia, China and Japan.
