The Aniliidae (cylinder snakes, coral pipe snakes and pipe snakes) is a snake family belonging to the Henophidia superfamily. All species possess a vestigial pelvic girdle which is visible as cloacal spurs. There are 3 genera and about 10 species. All are ovoviviparous. Food consists mainly of amphibians and reptiles.
