Antonio Segni

Antonio Segni (February 2, 1891, Sassari - December 1, 1972) was elected President of the Italian republic on May 6, 1962 (443 votes over 854), and retired from office on December 6, 1964 after serious paralysis.
Father of Mariotto, better know as Mario, he was accused during his presidential term to have organized a coup d'etat along with General De Lorenzo.
