Armenoid

Within the field of anthropology the term Armenoid is not officially recognized as a true racial subgroup, it was coined about a century ago by an Assyriologist who more-or-less claimed that within the modern world the nation that come closest genetically to the ancient Assyrians were the Armenians. Nonetheless, the racial type in question is very similar to Dinaric race; the only difference is that they have somewhat a darker pigmentation most probably due to racial mixture with the Mediterranean and the Alpine race. The so-called Armenoid is found throughout Eurasia, however, the largest concentrations occur within Asia Minor. Sometimes Armenoids are known as the "true" Caucasians. Armenoids are relatively tall people, have a chiseled face, with large round eyes ranging from green to black, and a prominant nose that is often curved.
