Arquà Petrarca

Arquà Petrarca is a village of 1,876 inhabitants in northeastern Italy, in the province of Padova. It is the birthplace of Petrarch. In 1374, he died and was entombed in this village.
In 2004, celebrations were held there and in nearby Padua for the 700th anniversary of the poet's birth.
