Avcılar is a suburb of İstanbul, Turkey on the European side of the city.
Athough many apartments near the sea are expensive and the centre of Avcılar has many resturants and an active night-life, this suburb was badly hit during the 1999 earthquake. But recently it has got over the problems of earthquake and is getting better and better . Avcilar is one of the sweetiest parts of Istanbul. İstanbul University Engineering Faculty is located in Avcılar.
