Bananal is a Brazilian city of the state of São Paulo. Population density is 16.09 km². The population in 2003 is 9,910 The area of 616 km².

Its boundaries are the municipalities Rio de Janeiro of Barra Mansa the north, Rio Claro the east and Angra dos Reis to the south, as well as São José do Barreiro and Arapeí (both in São Paulo) to the west.
