Battle of Cerignola

The Battle of Cerignola was fought on April 21 1503, between Aragonese and French armies, in Cerignola, next Bari, Southern Italy.
Aragonese forces, under Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba, defeated the French, led by Duc de Nemours, who was killed. It is considered the first battle in history won by gunpowder small arms.
