Bipartidism

From Freepedia

Bipartidism is a repartition of political power among only two parties or organisations. Most democratic countries (e.g. European countries) have representatives from several parties in their senates, parliaments, and commissions. Although this makes any negotiating process more complicated, it ensures a wider representation of different views.

In bipartidism there is a risk of two parties monopolising power, one party being in command, and the other in the opposition role, but anyway controlling and sharing all power.
