Borrowdale Volcanics

The Borrowdale Volcanics are a type of rock found in the Borrowdale area of the Lake District, in England. They are Cambrian or Ordovician or Silurian. As they are are highly impermeable, the land in this area is therefore highly susceptible to flooding, due to fast overland flow into the rivers.
