CBS News is the news division of American television and radio network CBS. Its current president is Andrew Heyward, to be replaced by Sean McManus, who will also remain head of CBS Sports, effective November 7, 2005.

CBS News also runs a CBS Newsbrief daily during CBS daytime programming.
In addition, CBS News also ran a five-minute news bulletin, transmitted to all the affiliates at 11:55 AM from 1958 to 1980, directly after Love of Life, and after The Price Is Right from 1980 to 1988. Currently it airs at 3:59 PM and lasts one-minute after Guiding Light.
