Camptosaurus was a genus of plant-eating, beaked dinosaurs of the late Jurassic period. The largest adult camptosauruses were more than 7 m (23 ft) long. They had heavy bodies but could rear up and walk on two legs as well as four. The genus is probably linked to the later iguanodon and hadrosaur dinosaurs.
Fossils of these dinosaurs have been found in North America and Europe.
