Canton Bulldogs
From Freepedia
The Canton Bulldogs played in Canton, Ohio in the National Football League from 1920 - 1923 and 1925 - 1926. In 1924, the owner of a team in Cleveland bought the team and "mothballed" it, while taking the team nickname and players to Cleveland for the season. But the NFL considers the 1925-1926 Canton Bulldogs to be the same team as the 1920-1923 team.
Jim Thorpe was Canton's best player. The team won the 1922 and 1923 NFL titles. As a result of the Bulldogs early success, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is located in Canton. [1]
