Estado Carabobo is one of the 23 states (estados) into which Venezuela is divided.
The state capital is Valencia. This city is the country's main industrial centre.
Carabobo State lies roughly two hours by road west of the nation's capital, Caracas. The state covers a total surface area of 4,650 km² and, in 2001, had an estimated population of 1 932 168 .
