Cardross

Cardross is a large village in Scotland, on the north side of the Firth of Clyde, roughly halfway between Dumbarton and Helensburgh. It has a railway station on the Airdrie-Helensburgh railway line. It is in the historic geographical county of Dunbartonshire, but the modern political local authority of Argyll and Bute.
King Robert the Bruce died at his castle in Cardross in 1329. The exact location of the castle is unknown.
The former St Peter's Seminary, designed by Gillespie, Kidd & Coia, is located in the north of the village.
