This is a category of people who were actors and went on to become politicians (but not vice-versa). For an actor to be included in this category, he/she should have held either a position in the government or stood for public office or campaigned extensively for a political party. Actors who are political ideologues, for example, those taking an anti-war stance, may be unsuitable in this category, unless they take an active part in politics per se.
