The coat of arms of Western Sahara is a symbol created by the Polisario Front, the resistance group/political party in the territory. It depicts two crossed rifles with the flag of Western Sahara hanging from either gun. Centered above them, is a red crescent and star, Islamic imagery. Surrounding the guns and cresecent are two olive branches, one on either side. At the bottom is written the Polisario motto "Liberty, democracy, unity" in black Arabic script on a red banner.
