Color breed

A colour breed is any breed with a colour preference. Colour breeds of horses include: Palomino, Buckskin, American Paint Horse, Appaloosa, and Pinto. These horses can be cross registered and frequently are; for example, a registered Palomino can also be a registered Quarter Horse.

Stories about behaviours related to specific colour breeds are apparently untrue. For example, not all Appaloosas are stubborn, although there certainly are stubborn Appaloosas.
