DEC, dec or Dec may refer to:
- "Dec" is abbreviation for the month of December.
- Digital Equipment Corporation was a pioneering computer company founded in 1957 by two brothers named Ken and Stan Olsen; it has since merged with Compaq in the late 1990s, and in 2003 became part of Hewlett-Packard. Originally known for their line of 8-bit PDP-8 computers, DEC spent years developing the PDP line through the 16-bit revolution, subsequently introducing a next-generation successor to the PDP line named VAX, a 32-bit processor considered a mainstay of commercial computing throughout the 1980's and early 1990s. Ultimately, DEC created the industry's first 64-bit CPU, named the ALPHA processor, and based it's final generation of systems on this chipset.
