Diamicton
From Freepedia
Diamicton is a geological feature referring to unstratified sedimentary deposits of unspecified origin.
Sediment deposited by glaciers is charateristically heterogeneous, showing great lateral and vertical variations in thickness, composition and texture. Such unsorted, unstratified deposits of unknown origin are given the general term diamicton. Once a glacial origin for the sediment has been determined it can be called drift.
