Dutch Warmblood

The Dutch Warmblood is a breed of horse developed for competition that has gained wide recognition in dressage. Developed through a breeding program that began in the 1960s, it is one of the most successful horse breeds developed in postwar Europe.
The Dutch Warmblood averages 16.2 hands but can reach up to 17 hands at the withers. An eager, reliable, and intelligent breed, these horses were bred to be first class dressage and show jumping horses, but do well in pleasure and almost any kind of riding. Its coat can be chestnut, bay, black, or grey with white markings.
