Eugene Clay Shaw Jr. (born April 19 1939), American politician, has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 1981, representing the 22nd District of Florida (map). He was born in Miami, Florida, was educated at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida and the University of Alabama, and was a lawyer, prosecutor, judge and city commissioner in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and mayor of Fort Lauderdale, Florida before entering the House.
