Engelberg (altitude 1020 metres) is a municipality in the canton of Obwalden in Switzerland. It has a population of 3600 of which 600 are of foreign nationality (2000).

The main sights of Engelberg are: Titlis mountain, Engelberg Abbey, a Benedictine monastery in the Swiss Congregation, the museum of the valley, the hotel Europäischer Hof, a number of old chapels. Engelberg is a major tourist resort.
