Enterobacter
From Freepedia
Enterobacter is a genus of common gram-negative facultatively-anaerobic bacteria of the family Enterobacteriaceae. On Gram staining they are rod-shaped and Gram negative. Several of the these bacteria are pathogenic and cause opportunistic infections in compromised (usually hospitalised) hosts. The urinary and respiratory tract are the most common sites of infection. Two clinically-important species from this genus are Enterobacter aerogenes and Enterobacter cloacae.
