Exaltation (astrology)
From Freepedia
In astrology, exaltation is the second strongest essential dignity of a planet, after the rulership or domicile. Each of the seven traditional planets has its exaltation in one sign of the zodiac, and most particularly in one of its 30 degrees. Modern astrologers have assigned signs of exaltation to Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, while starting a new debate on Mercury's sign of exaltation:
- Sun in Aries, particularly in the 10th degree.
- Moon in Taurus, particularly in the 3rd degree.
- Mercury (traditionally) in Virgo, particularly in the 16th degree. Some modern astrologers, however, believe Mercury is exalted in Aquarius.
- Venus in Pisces, particularly in the 27th degree.
- Mars in Capricorn, particularly in the 28th degree.
- Jupiter in Cancer, particularly in the 5th degree.
- Saturn in Libra, particularly in the 20th degree.
- Uranus in Scorpio.
- Neptune in Cancer or Leo, depending on the astrologer.
- Pluto in Leo or Virgo, depending on the astrologer.
