Female chauvinism

Female chauvinism or female supremacy is an ideology which holds that the female sex is superior to the male sex. It is the opposite of male chauvinism. Some people believe that feminism has evolved into female chauvinism (particulary 1970s feminism). A few also believe that because of feminism, the United States is becoming a female-chauvinistic country. Female chauvinists are often opposed to masculism and some view males as second-class citizens. The opposite belief is male superiority, or male chauvinism, in which the males are considered to be the superior gender. On the other hand, female chauvinisms fail to signify the difference between masculism and male chauvinism. Also, most female chauvinists are offended by pro-male gender gaps.
