First Italian War
From Freepedia
The First Italian War (1494 – 1495) resulted from the invasion of Italy by Charles VIII of France. His sack of Naples provoked the creation of the League of Venice, composed of the Republic of Venice, Milan, the Pope, Ferdinand I of Spain, and Emperor Maximilian I; the League defeated Charles at Fornovo, forcing him to withdraw from Italy.
