Flag of Lithuania

From Freepedia

The flag of Lithuania was adopted on March 20, 1989. The same colours had previously been used by the inter-war independent state of Lithuania, from 1918 to 1940, but then in the ratio of 2:3. From 1989 to 2004 the ratio was 1:2, the same used for the Soviet Lithuanian flag.

As from September 1, 2004, the ratio was changed to 3:5.

Yellow color in the flag symbolizes light and sun, green is for nature, and red, represents the blood that was shed for Lithuania.
