National flags inspired by the flag of Turkey

Since the constitution of Republic of Turkey by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1923 many newly independent countries in the 20th century, all of them with Turkic, Ottoman and/or Islamic roots and some inspired by the republican Kemalist way of government, adopted flags adorned with the crescent and star prominent in the Turkish Flag.

The current internationally-recognized countries that adopted flag designs inspired on the flag of Turkey are the following:

It should be noted that in all flags except Tunisia, Malaysia and Turkey itself there is the presence of the color green, which is regarded as the tradicional color of Islam (although until 15th century the Ottoman Flag has a green background).
