From Freepedia

Flora Finch (London, June 17, 1869January 4, 1940 in Los Angeles, California) was an English-born film actress who starred in over 300 silents, including over 200 for the Vitagraph film company. She was born into a music-hall and traveling theatrical family in London and was brought over to the states as a young child. She kept up the family tradition and worked in theater and vaudeville circuit right up until her 30's. She had her first film roles at the American Mutoscope and Biograph Company starting in 1908. There she worked with among others, Fatty Arbuckle, Mabel Normand, Mack Sennett and Charlie Chaplin. Starting in 1911 at Vitagraph she was mainly paired with John Bunny in wildly popular short comedies (called by the public Bunnyfinches). She tried setting up her own production company, (Flora Finch Productions), after Bunny died in 1915, but was never able to regain her popularity after. She spent the rest of her career in character roles and bit parts. She died in 1940 of a streptococcus infection. Most of her films (especially the silents) have been lost over the years.
