Lifestyle

Similar to the hip neighbouring districts Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg and Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain is also full of urban lifestyle. The mainstream clubbing quarter with countless bars, clubs, pubs, cafes and restaurants is concentrated in the vicinity of Simon-Dach-Straße and Boxhagener Platz. Whereas the alternative scene is located on both sides of Karl-Marx-Allee with a focal point in Rigaer Straße. In contrast to the more established districts Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte, Friedrichshain has the atmosphere of departure of the mid 90's after German reunification which results in a vivid art scene.
