Fulham Broadway tube station

Fulham Broadway is a station on the Wimbledon branch of the District Line, in Travelcard Zone 2.
It is the nearest station to Stamford Bridge stadium (home of Chelsea F.C.).
The station was called Walham Green when it opened in 1880. The name was changed to Fulham Broadway in 1952.
In 2003 the original street-level station was replaced by a new entrance integrated into a shopping mall, which improved access to Stamford Bridge stadium and provided full wheelchair accessability at the expense of a longer walk through the mall from the new entrance on the Fulham Road. The original station is a Grade II listed building occupied in 2005 by a T.G.I. Friday's restaurant retaining many of the original station signs and architectural features.
