From Freepedia

Gold Coast Stadium is the name of the main stadium on the Gold Coast, Queensland. At this present stage, the current Gold Coast Stadium is located at Carrara. This stadium is owned and run by the Gold Coast City Council. It was former home to Brisbane Bears AFC (now Brisbane Lions) and Gold Coast Chargers RLFC. It is currently the home of Gold Coast Soccer. It will also host the inaugaural season of the Gold Coast Titans RLFC.

This stadium will be replaced however by the new Gold Coast Stadium to be built at the satelite city of Robina, near Robina train station. It will be effectivly a smaller version of Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane and has been designed by the same company. It will be opened in 2008 in time for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup and will be the home to the Gold Coast Titans. The project has been funded by the Queensland Government.
