The United Kingdom competed as Great Britain at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. It was the twenty-first time that the nation had competed, being one of only three nations (along with Greece and Australia) to have competed in every Summer Olympics to that point. Great Britain competed under the IOC country code GBR.
