Grizzly Bear are a band whose original members, Edward Droste and Christopher Bear, met in New York. They have been touring the country and have since been joined by Chris Taylor and Daniel Rossen. The group employs traditional and electronic instruments, ranging from a recorder to a laptop, and all four members contribute vocals. Their debut album was Horn of Plenty and features a myriad of sounds and layering of voices. The band has been likened to Sufjan Stevens and Animal Collective. They are currently finishing a remix project to be added as an additional disc to Horn of Plenty and featuring remixes by Solex, The Double, Castanets, and others. They have plans to begin recording a new full-length album in the coming months.
