Guyanese dollar

The dollar is the national currency of Guyana. Its ISO 4217 code is GYD.
This currency was issued in 1965 and has a value of 120 to the Aus $. The currency is the dollars and cents. Cent coins are no longer used as inflation removed them in the 1990's. Coins come in 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 cents and 1, 5, 10 dollars.
Banknotes issued since 1966 are 1,5,10,20,50,100, 500, 1000 with the 1, 5, 10 and 50 dollars no longer issued. Its value, as with most currencies, varies.
