Heald Green railway station
From Freepedia
The Stockport suburb of Heald Green is in the southern outskirts of Cheadle Hulme. Its two-platform station is on the line between Manchester Picadilly and Manchester Airport. Services provided by Northern Rail and TransPennine are regular and often only call at Heald Green before arriving from Manchester Piccadilly. There is a small car park adjacent to the station.
Plans to create a Metro Link from Manchester to the Manchester Airport railway station are currently on hold following Government decisions regarding the cost.
